Terms of Service
The terms that govern translation, interpretation, language courses and training provided by Azaël Iloki, sworn translator accredited by the Cour d'Appel de Lomé.
Last updated: July 2026. These Terms of Service govern every quote, order and delivery agreed with Azaël Iloki ("I", "me"), sworn translator registered with the Cour d'Appel de Lomé, Togo. Placing an order — by WhatsApp, email, the quote form or in writing — means you accept these terms.
01Services
I provide certified (sworn) FR↔EN translation, general and business translation, web-content translation, legal translation for law firms, language courses, corporate training and academic tutoring. The exact scope of each engagement is set out in the written quote you approve before work begins.
02Quotes & Orders
Every quote is free and returned within 24 hours. A quote is valid for 30 days and states the price, turnaround, direction of translation and delivery format. Work starts once you approve the quote and, where applicable, pay the agreed deposit.
- Quotes are based on the documents supplied. If the final files differ materially in length or complexity, I will re-quote before continuing.
- Prices are shown Net for individuals and exclusive of tax (HT) for corporate and institutional invoicing.
03Payment
Accepted methods are Moov Money, Mixx by Yas, Ecobank Mobile and bank transfer; international clients can be invoiced in EUR, USD or FCFA. Corporate and institutional orders may require a deposit or a pro-forma invoice before work begins. Certified translations are released once payment is confirmed unless a written account agreement states otherwise.
04Turnaround & Delivery
Standard turnaround is stated in your quote — typically 24–72h for certified documents and 2–5 business days for larger files. Express 24h delivery is available at +50%. Delivery is by email and/or certified print collected in Lomé, as agreed. Turnaround runs from the moment I receive complete, legible files and confirmed payment where required.
05Certified (Sworn) Translation
A certified translation carries my stamp and signature as a translator accredited by the Cour d'Appel de Lomé. It certifies faithful correspondence with the source document you provide. I cannot vouch for the authenticity of the source document itself, and acceptance by a given embassy, court or authority remains that body's decision. Where an authority sets a specific format, tell me before delivery.
06Your Responsibilities
- Provide complete, legible documents and the correct spelling of names, places and dates as they must appear.
- State the destination country and authority so the translation meets its requirements.
- Check the draft or delivered file promptly and report any error within 7 days.
07Revisions & Errors
If I make a translation error — a mistranslation, omission or typo attributable to me — I correct it free of charge. Changes to the source text, added content or preference-based rewrites after delivery are quoted separately.
08Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel before work begins at no cost. Once work has started, you are billed for the portion completed. For monthly courses, training and retainers, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current cycle with one month's notice. Certified work already stamped and delivered is non-refundable.
09Confidentiality
All documents are handled under strict professional secrecy, kept in a secure working folder for the active project only, and permanently deleted after confirmed delivery. An NDA can be signed on request. See the Privacy Policy for how personal data is processed.
10Liability
My liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. I am not liable for indirect losses, for delays caused by incomplete files or third-party services, or for a decision by an embassy, court or authority to accept or reject a document.
11Intellectual Property
Once payment is complete, you own the delivered translation. I retain the right to keep an anonymised record for accounting and quality purposes only, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
12Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Togolese Republic. Disputes will first be addressed amicably; failing resolution, the courts of Lomé have jurisdiction.
